Who We Are
A Course in Mindful Living (ACIML) was created by Elisha Goldstein, PhD. Elisha and his team are 100% committed to protecting your personal information. This privacy policy covers the nature, purpose, use, and sharing of any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) collected via this website https://acourseinmindfulliving.com/ (the “Website”). Please note that we may update this policy from time to time.
Our Privacy Policy Principles
Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It
Online Forms
We collect the personal information you voluntarily provide to us, which includes your name and e-mail address, when you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, receive our free content, and/or purchase services or online products.
Customer and User Profile Data
If you purchase a membership in A Course in Mindful Living (ACIML), we collect your name, email address, address, and telephone number via our merchant processor, SendOwl. (Read SendOwl’s privacy policy here.) SendOwl collects credit card information through their subprocessor Stripe who are Level 1 PCI compliant meaning they are really secure.
We collect your name, email address, address, and telephone number if you make an online purchase of other products and/or services (non-ACIML related) via PayPal. (Read PayPal’s privacy policy here.)
We do not store your credit card information at all.
If you are a current or past participant in ACIML you will have created a user (i.e. member) profile on our online course platform, Ruzuku. This profile allows you to upload your own photos and to comment on other participants’ photos and forum posts. It also allows you to mark your progress within the course. Fundamentally, Ruzuku was designed with the same principles behind GDPR. (You can read about Ruzuku’s privacy policy here and their Terms of Service here.)
If you decide to stop participating in ACIML, you can email Ruzuku to request that they execute your “right to be forgotten” by deleting your user profile and all related data. ACIML staff can also pass on a request of this nature to Ruzuku on your behalf. We don’t delete this data unless specifically requested so that you can easily re-instate your profile and membership in ACIML, and/or so that you can continue to have access to past versions of the course (ACIML is typically offered to a new cohort 1-2 times a year).
Participants in ACIML are invited to attend live webinars and video conferencing events a few times a month as part of their membership. Live webinars are hosted by eMindful (read the eMindful Privacy Policy here and their Terms of Service here) and delivered via the Webex platform (read the Webex Privacy Policy here). Attendees are required to enter their name and email address to attend the webinars in order to access the webinar content. Attendance records for these live webinars are required by our Continuing Education Credit provider, R. Cassidy Seminars (read their privacy policy here). ACIML video conferences take place on the Zoom platform (read the Zoom Terms of Service here).
